Sinubong Day Care Center was featured in Zamboanga Today.
As part of their socio-civic contribution to the community, the Royales family in Sinubong set up a day care center to cater to the educational needs of children ages 3 – 6 years old coming from poor farming families in the area.
The day care center project, a non-profit undertaking aimed to provide pre-school education to young children was unveiled recently.
District I Congresswoman Beng Climaco, whose foremost advocacy is to initiate activities for the protection and welfare of children, was the first government official to visit the day care center since it was formally inaugurated a month ago.
The lady solon brought along foodstuff and goodies for over 50 children and their mothers who were at the day care center to welcome her last week.
The day care center is owned and operated by Jovita S. Royales, whose son Raymond, an overseas worker in Singapore is financially supporting the institution. The management does not charge any fee for the services being provided.
On hand to welcome Cong. Climaco at the center were teachers Estrella Navarro and Rita Royales.
Cong. Climaco expressed gratitude to the Royales family for voluntarily contributing for the wellbeing of the pre-schoolers in the area as she continually urged “Let us help make the future of the children a reality today.”
Lensman Ryan Sta. Teresa captured some significant moments during the congresswoman’s visit to the Sinubong day care center.
